Our Trustees
Our Trustees are at the heart of our charity. All of our Trustees are local or have a strong connection to Brookside. Each have particular interest within our community and bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience to the team. They are united by a shared commitment to making Brookside Central Community Centre a safe space within our community for all.
We are always looking for new Trustees who are passionate about Brookside and want to play a part in shaping the future of our community centre. You do not need previous Trustee experience- we welcome people with different skills, experiences and connections within our community. If you are interested in becoming a Trustee and helping make our centre the best it can be, we would love to hear from you.
Stuart Cook
Stuart is Chair of our charity and brings a wealth of community experience and a strong commitment to making a positive difference. He is particularly passionate about projects that support mental health and improve wellbeing within the community.
Alongside his role as a Trustee, Stuart runs his own company supporting veterans, giving him valuable experience in running community organisations.
ChairAnnie Bliss
Annie brings extensive community and board experience to our charity, having previously served as Chair of Brookside Big Local for several years. Her experience in leadership and governance provides valuable knowledge and insight to the Trustee team.
Annie has a particular passion for services that support young people and is committed to ensuring that the young people of Brookside have a safe, positive environment in which they can grow, play and learn.
Vice chairIzzy Langford
Izzy has been a volunteer at Brookside Central for many years and has recently become a Trustee. Izzy is proud to have Autism and Dyslexia and use this to advocate for the centre to be an inclusive space for al and insure all members of our community are represented.
Izzy has a particular interest in the arts, IL is passionate about making creative opportunities accessible and welcoming to all members of our community, regardless of background or ability.
Kathryn Banks
Kath brings valuable experience from running a local franchise and wraparound care provision, giving her a strong understanding of the needs of local families and children.
As a Trustee, Kath brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a creative approach to the board. She is passionate about developing new opportunities and helping the charity continue to grow and make a positive difference in the local community.
